This is my favorite denim skirt, and I’ve styled it today with this beautiful eyelet scalloped top.
August is almost here and I do start to itch for some Fall clothes. However, there are some great sales and I love to browse online.
My eye was immediately drawn to the scalloped edges and eyelet design of this beautiful top. I wore another blue and white outfit HERE, in case you missed that post. Made of a light cotton, the details certainly draw you in. There are only a few pieces left in a size 4 ( which is what I am wearing), otherwise you can choose to be notified when it comes in stock.
Sticking to my wardrobe plan of adding something new, then getting rid of something, I chose a top that I never seem to wear, and donated it to a local chaity, Lydia’s Loft.
I knew I would pair this top with a higher rise jean or jean skirt. It is somewhat cropped if you are long-waisted, if you are not, there are no worries! If you would love a jean skirt, this button front midi skirt is sharp, from Ann Taylor and the darker rinse makes it dressier.
You have seen my love for eyelet and scalloping HERE in this post, and that top was also bought at Mango. It seems to be my “go to” for online shopping, as I do enjoy the quality and selection.
Ways I could wear this top:
- Denim for sure. A higher waisted denim skirt is always going to be popular. Denim never goes out of fashion!
- A cream pair of trousers
- White jeans. I love how blue and white or blue and beige look with a pair of white or ecru denim.
- High rise white linen shorts. If you have a pair that are more of a trouser style and longer length, the structured look would be wonderful.
Texture- What I love about this kind of top is the texture is interesting, as is the design, and I am always on the hunt for those special details when it comes to tops and blouses. The small puff sleeve is a nice feminine touch as well. My bag, from Poshmark ( new) is also sold on Tuckernuck. I love the woven look of this bag and can carry it as a crossbody or a clutch, by lengthening and shortening the gold chain
