This is a trend I am loving right now, the cuffed jean. A bit more relaxed than the straight leg, with an upturned cuff and a looser fit, these are a jean that can be worn many ways.
The Jeans
I had been scouring different retailers to find a great cuffed jean. I need some stretch as I have IBS and have to have the comfort level that it provides. When I tried on these Evereve jeans, it was love at first feel! Yes, I went into an actual store! Most often, I am shopping from the comfort of my couch but wanted to check out our new Evereve store. When I felt these jeans, they were like buttah! So soft! That was a detail that is a winner in my book. With extra sensitivity, I need something soft that doesn’t feel like it is pressing hard on my stomach, and something with give.
I loved the style and medium wash of these jeans. The cuff is sewn, so you can’t let them down, but I do like that the cuff is perfectly lined up and you don’t have to figure it out or adjust it. I bought my normal jean size, a 27, and they are loose in the waist, but how I like it. If you like a more fitted look, you could size down one. I typically don’t size down in jeans, as I said, I like a looser fit.
These jeans are made with recycled polyester, so the softness comes into play there, as well as cotton and elastane. They do have a button fly, and that is not a deal breaker with me, as I feel like the jeans have some give, and the button fly holds everything in.
This was the first Evereve store I had been in, and the service was wonderful. I paid full price for the jeans, as I am going through my jean wardrobe and only keeping excellent fits. So, once in awhile, I pay full price for something I know will equal great price per wear.
Changing the jeans look is done more by the shoes you wear. Wear a fashion sneaker for a more street style casual look. Dress it up with a pair of booties or tall boots creating a more fashionable, Fall style. Ballet flats and Mary Janes are popular now, and the cuff lends itself to showing off your shoes, so wear those strappy Mary Janes!
