Neutrals are back again. I know you saw me in a neutral look last week, but I’m still in the mood, only adding some splashes of leopard this time! Plus, who doesn’t want to see multiple ways of wearing a garment.
Neutral Linen Suit with a Splash of Leopard
Generally, I see more leopard in the Fall and Winter months, but if you get that itch, why not wear some of your leopard accessories now? I’ve styled this 2 piece linen outfit with my Pumiey bodysuit underneath and added both a scarf and clutch in leopard. The bodysuit is quite soft and for my long torso, is long enough to where nothing pulls. They have a multitude of colors too.
I go through moods, phases. Some days I want neutrals, but after wearing them for a while, it’s back to color. For me, it depends on my mood.
Both color and neutral looks can look sophisticated, it is how they are styled that deems that quality.
First, I know I have to fix that button. I know you see it! LOL.
Nonetheless, these are separate pieces I put together as a suit. The pants are J Crew Factory,( no longer available) but here are some options. ( option 1, option 2) and the blazer is Vince, here is another option. The mocha latte colored bodysuit worked well with the neutral palette and gave a nice smooth look under the elastic waisted trousers. Would you believe the slip on sandals are Tarshay? Bought them last year in lilac and this dark tan. They have some others I really like as well, like these and these.
I am a scarf girl, or should I say neck scarf girl as I love the way it adds color and pattern to this look, giving it a bit more “punch”, or vividness. The leopard clutch is one I have had for years, so I found a similar one for you if you are looking to add one.
The key with monochromatic looks or neutral pallets for me, is to add a bit of pattern or one-color accessory to add to the look. A bag, some earrings, a scarf in this instance. Texture also plays a bit part in monochromatic or neutral looks. The slides have a woven texture that adds to the look of a neutral palette, breaks it up.
