The Bel Air Handbag
This bag caught my eye straightaway, as I loved the style and construction of both cognac leather and this squishee material that is a heavier duty, well-made material that is trademarked by the company. It is sturdy and has several zipped pockets, along with a leather pocket in the back It also comes with straps to convert into a backpack, but I won’t be doing that. It is called The Bel Air and is one of their most popular designs.
You can wear this bag, nearly year-round because of the mix in materials. It is very well made and has the 4 bottom footies to prevent your bag from getting dirty when you sit it down. I styled it with this olive palm dress (that is ages old) with my beautiful Bruno Magli cognac sandals and Prada sunglasses. I kept the look pretty simple but elegant.
From the Eric Javits website:
“Mid-size shoulder bag of Squishee? with zip top closure, leather flap, handle and trim converts to a backpack. The outside leather patch pocket on the reverse is convenient for easy access to cell phone or glasses. Squishee? is a patented man-made material with partially recycled fibers resembling genuine raffia straw. It will not crack or melt when wet and is more durable and lightweight than natural straw. The outside front pocket is for easy access to travel documents. Inside: sidewall zipper compartment, dual patch pockets, and key clip. All Eric Javits bags are lightweight and durable.”
