The white button down is the perfect wardrobe staple. I’m sharing 10 ways to style it today on the blog.
10 Ways to Style a White Button Down
You can’t beat a staple like a white button down shirt. White shirts do come in different shapes, fits and styles. I love this stretchy style from Ameliora. It is a fitted, tailored white shirt with stretch. The Dawn, styled white shirt,is made from a lightweight and luxurious Italian AndareTech fabric, a 72% microfiber polyester/28% Lycra blend.
Since I love the fit of a nicely tailored top, this would work as a great staple in my wardrobe. I love that this shirt is not oversized, but rather you can use some of the styling tips to create a half tuck, fully tuck or because of the more rounded hem, untucked.
I have seen ladies criss-cross the bottom of the shirt, by leaving the last one or two buttons, unbuttoned, giving it more of a modern vibe.
This outfit combination can be something that everyone may have in their closet, in some variation. Here I styled the Ameliora white shirt with wide leg jeans, strappy white sandals, and a snakeskin silk scarf. Texture was added with my favorite bag, the Brahmin Satchel in pecan.
This is a classic way to style a white button down, with denim and heels. Try adding a third piece, such as a blazer, a cardi, or in this example, the scarf, which adds addiional interest with pattern and color.
Wear this white shirt with
- A pair of wide leg or flare jeans
- Colorful trousers in bright colors- pink, green, red are everywhere right now.
- Jean skirt- Midi or maxi skirts are quite popular now
- White denim – add a pop of color with an accessory.
- If it is larger, wear it as a jacket over a tank, cami, etc
- Pair with a colorful skirt- an A-line for elegance, and a retro-vibe
- Denim short with espadrilles. I love the length of these shorts by Agolde.
- Linen trousers are big right now, add a pastel pair with your white button – down.
- An oversized one can be worn as a swimsuit coverup
- Wear it over a slip dress and tie a knot at the waistline.
Spring Days- April is Going by Fast
I hope you are enjoying the longer, lighter days this month and have gotten some weather in which you can do so. It has rained frequently here, but fortunately, unlike Pittsburgh, the grey days are fewer, and the sun pops out. We have had some 80-degree days, so a taste of Summer recently. Over the weekend, we enjoyed sitting out by the lake, with a bottle of Juggernaut, a red wine shared. We also celebrated my husbands birthday month, at a new classy establishment, called Barrel and Fork. Fancy, smoky drinks, and shelves lined with Bournbon bottles were within eyesight. I had a dish of scallops and risotto, which was melt-in your mouth delicious. Hubby had a wonderful red snapper dish with potatoes, white beans, kale. We both shared brussel sprouts roasted with a bourbon glaze.
I’ve been procuring my closet a bit more- donating and selling what is not my taste or style anymore. Poshmark,Mango have been my go tos and I have my eye on a linen dress from Mango as well. Must wait for the Mother’s Day sale, if there will be one.
excuse the nails, it’s mani-pedi time!
