Pain-free heels you say? Scientifically engineered you say? I’m talking about Ally shoes in this styled outfit today.
About Ally Shoes
Ally shoes was designed by women for women. Ally shoes came about by accident. The founder and CEO, Samantha Dong was on a hiking trip to Kilimanjaro, when she had a foot injury. She was frustrated or disheartened by the lack of comfortable, yet stylish shoes and ones with support. Teaming up with a designer, SARA JARAMILLO and podiatrist, DR. ROXANN CLARKE ,the evolution of Ally shoes became a reality.
According to the website,
“Our team makes heels that are scientifically engineered to alleviate pain. Our patented, ergonomic support structure and innovative design is accompanied by inclusive sizing options (US 4.5 – 12, four different widths.) Ally Shoes continues to disrupt the footwear industry with intentional craftmanship and a sustainable supply chain.”
My Review
First, I love supporting women owned businesses. Second, who better to know a women’s shoe than women themselves!
“Our patented, ergonomic internal support structure takes best practices from podiatry and sneaker design, re-balancing body weight in the heel and bringing unparalleled comfort all day long.”
The padding and support at the toe bed as well as made from premium lambskin leather which will stretch after one to two wears. Handmade and quality is evident in the pair I received, with a sturdy bottom and plenty of sizing and widths. The size chart on the website does help, but I do suggest measuring your foot and going by the chart. I initially took the fit finder quiz on the website and got the size 8 (which is my normal size). Finding the back of the left heel a bit loose, they exchange was no problem, and was done in a timely manner. I then compared a half size down to see which fit better. The shoes should be a bit snug at first but not pinching. I thought the 7.5 was a big snug, so I was gifted some heel cushions as well for my size 8 pair, which made it fit better with no slipping at the heel.
The quality was evident with the pair I received straightaway, the footbed, the luscious leather and comfort and ergonomic cushioning made these 3-inch heels easy to walk in with the thicker heel, as I haven’t walked in a stiletto heel in a while and prefer more of a block heel for stability. I also have a high arch, so the cushioning and design was certainly welcoming to my feet. The details of my shoes:
- Patented Internal Support Structure & Padded insole
- Self-covered heel 3″ (75mm)
- Lambskin leather upper, Italian leather sole, suede lining
- Handcrafted
The caramel shoes have less “orange” or a cognac shade as shown above, when I received them, they were more of a brownish, caramel tone. Remember, computer screens can make a difference too. But they are gorgeous!
Other Shoes
Ally shoes also has a lower 2-inch block heel that may be more comfortable for you if you are not interested in this high of a heel. They also carry kitten heels, strappy heels, flats and ankle boots. The new Spring collection is out as well, and I love this Tiffany blue color .
This pretty blush pink is also lovely for spring.
How I Styled My Pair
I decided to restyle my ecru jeans and add other creams, and my leather cognac blazer. The leopard belt also pulls it together and I added a bit of texture with my woven purse. These are all pieces from my closet, with the shoes and leather blazer gifted. The Mango jeans are no longer available, but I have linked others , here, here, and here.
Loving the look of browns or cognacs with creams, give a similar look a try yourself!
Ally shoes calls these the Bold Block heels, in Courageous Caramel as they are 3 ” heels and come in over 20 other colors. I chose the cognac to be a neutral to go with much in my closet. There are many “nude” shades as well if you are looking for a neutral shoe.
