It’s June. It’s getting hotter, and it is time to bring out one of my favorite fabrics, linen!
Time for Linen
It really Is that time. There is usually the “hate it camp” or the “love it camp”. I am amongst the “love it”, as I live in the South and our summers can get hot! I think linen is great to wear, as I just accept the wrinkles and enjoy the comfort and feel of the fabric. This Zara dress was one I bought on Ebay, tags still attached. I believe I paid $30 for it.
As you know, I have a fair bit of green in my wardrobe and have recently added pink as I’d love to combine the two and just have more choices. This rich darker olive hue had caught my eye and I was looking for linen dresses. When you shop on Ebay or Poshmark, the key is to try and be specific and put in your sizing parameters, so you don’t get overwhelmed. I did search for “green linen dress small” or “Zara linen dress small” and then choose from there if something “tickles your fancy”.
I love the richness of the dress and how this shade is a neutral that will work with any skin tone. I chose to wear the fabric belt, but will probably switch it out to one with a bit more sustenance. The woven clutch is one I like to wear with more utilitarian looks or tropical styles. That’s when I reach for it. Adding my frequently worn Zara brown/tan sandals also completes the look.
Gold jewelry is my favorite to wear and I keep it simple with a favorite pendant, cuff and these new Monica Vinader hoops. I love the style and have a thing for hoops lately.
