Crop tops don’t have to be something you avoid. I’m sharing how I would style a cropped blouse.
Styling a Crop Top with Your High-Rise Jeans
You don’t have to think of crop tops as a teeny-bopper garment, but it is good to know how to wear such a top.
I have over the past year bought a few pairs of high rise jeans, these are considered Extra- High waisted, slightly above my belly button. I am long-waisted, so if you are not long waisted, you may just want to try a high-waisted version.
Crop tops don’t have to be the fitted type you might see at Target, with the Wild Fable brand. This top, from Mango, is a boxier crop top that may just end at the top of your jeans.
What’s wonderful is not having to tuck the shirt in, just meeting at the top of the jeans. As, a more conservative look, you can choose a longer crop top that just grazes the top of your jeans. Sometimes a button down might seem bulky, so this is one way to avoid this.
The drape of this top caught my eye, as did the structure. Since there are quite a few variations of crop tops, they are not all fitted. For me, I do prefer a tailored version, depending on the bottom.
Although my top is not available, I love this one as an option. The blue striped shirt with the structured style would be wonderful with this look as well. It comes in black, white and other colors as well. This cropped shirt is such a great stylish option with higher rise pants or jeans. Very smart! Comes in other colorways.
My last look is put together, but casual. I changed out my strappy sandals for my Superga espadrille sneakers and added a trench. Remember how I told you, you can wear a trench coat over sweat pants and it elevates the look regardless .
